There's a particular kind of traveler who doesn't just visit a place — they go back. And then go back again. For me, that place is Costa Rica, four times over. And Ireland, twice. Italy, twice. Once you understand why someone returns to the same destination, you understand a great deal about how they travel — and how to help them do it better.

My life in travel started long before I became an advisor. For six years, my husband and I lived in the United Arab Emirates, where I taught school and we used every school holiday, every long weekend, and every opportunity we could find to explore the world from that extraordinary doorstep. England, Ireland, Italy, Germany's Christmas markets, Switzerland, Spain, Sri Lanka — the UAE placed us at the crossroads of continents, and we took full advantage of it. Those years gave me something no certification can: a genuine, firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate the world as a traveler, not just a tourist.

Since returning to the United States and settling on beautiful Amelia Island, I've kept traveling — through the Caribbean, across Central America, along coastlines I never tire of. And the more I traveled, the more I found myself drawn to cruising as the ideal way to experience the world. A well-chosen cruise combines the discovery of new destinations with the comfort of a home base that moves with you. It's efficient, immersive, and — when matched correctly to the person taking it — genuinely transformative.

That matching is what I do. I founded Dreamy Destinations to bring the same care I brought to the classroom to the way people plan their vacations. Cruising is my specialty, and I've sailed lines across the Caribbean and beyond. But my experience is broader than cruising, and that matters — because the best cruise often involves a land extension before or after, a pre-sail resort stay, or simply the confidence of working with someone who has actually stood in the places you're dreaming about.
